SUBANG – The Criminal Investigation Unit of Subang Police has again uncovered a case of methamphetamine-type narcotics distribution. This time, two men with initials J (22), a resident of Bandung City, and S (22), a resident of Garut Regency, were successfully apprehended.

Both were apprehended while riding a gray Honda Beat motorcycle with license plate D 2726 AES in the area of Sarireja Village, Jalancagak District, Subang, on Friday around 3:30 PM local time, specifically on the Sarireja highway.

“From the search results, police confiscated a number of pieces of evidence from the suspects: one black plastic bag containing one medium-sized clip plastic bag containing methamphetamine-type narcotics, two medium-sized packages of methamphetamine wrapped in black duct tape, 14 small packages of methamphetamine wrapped in black duct tape, and one microtube containing methamphetamine,” stated the Head of Criminal Investigation at Subang Police.

Subsequently, police conducted a follow-up operation at J’s residence in the Bandung Kulon area, Bandung City.

“Further evidence was found: seven small packages of meth wrapped in red duct tape and six small packages of meth wrapped in white duct tape. All this evidence was stored inside a phone charger box. The total amount of methamphetamine-type narcotics successfully secured reached 37.98 grams,” he said.

From the initial examination, the methamphetamine was suspected to be distributed by the two perpetrators under the orders of an individual with the initials Dr (a wanted person) via the social media platform Instagram.

“Currently, both perpetrators along with the evidence have been taken to Subang Police Station for further legal processing in accordance with Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics,” he concluded.
