BANDUNG- The Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, affirmed the commitment to transparency and accountability of the West Java Provincial Government regarding the allocation of a IDR 22 billion budget for cleaning services at the Al Jabbar Grand Mosque for the 2026 fiscal year.

This explanation follows public attention to the project’s value. According to Dedi, the budget is not just a lump sum but a detailed breakdown of the comprehensive needs for hundreds of workers who maintain the cleanliness of the mosque, a source of pride for the people of West Java.

“Based on a report from the Head of the West Java BPKAD, the allocation is intended for monthly salaries, health insurance, work accident insurance, old-age savings, and holiday allowances,” said Dedi Mulyadi in Bandung on Monday (April 20).

According to data from the West Java Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency, this program is officially registered on the Sirup Inaproc page with RUP Code 64264570. The total budget of IDR 22,091,454,575 comes from the 2026 APBD and is used to fund 273 cleaning staff.

Each worker is scheduled to receive a base salary of IDR 4.7 million per month. In addition to a decent wage, the budget includes mandatory protection components according to labor regulations.

These include: Health Insurance: IDR 189,507 per person/month, Old-Age Savings: IDR 175,294 per person/month, Work Accident Insurance: IDR 11,370 per person/month, Death Insurance: IDR 14,213 per person/month, and a Holiday Allowance reserve: IDR 394,806 per month.

The Head of the West Java BPKAD, Norman Nugraha, confirmed these details. He emphasized that the West Java Provincial Government acts as a responsible employer providing health and employment insurance protection for all field workers.

“There is a legal obligation for the employer to provide BPJS Health and Employment coverage. We ensure every worker is protected while carrying out their duties,” Norman stressed.

To maintain the cleanliness of the vast mosque area, the 273 cleaning staff are divided into several work zones. Namely, the Inner Zone (115 people): Responsible for the main mosque area with a three-shift system. Then, the Outer Zone (158 people): Responsible for the courtyard and terrace areas with a two-shift system.

The process of selecting the service provider was conducted openly through an e-purchasing mechanism to ensure efficiency and prevent budget misappropriation. “We want to uphold clean governance in every use of public funds,” concluded Dedi Mulyadi.
