Hyderabad, On World Bicycle Day, the Telangana Sports Authority organized the Fit India Sundays on Cycling program at Gachibowli Stadium.

The cycling rally was flagged off by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla. Present on the occasion were IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu, Vakiti Srihari, Sports Advisor to the Telangana Government A.P. Jitendra Reddy, Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Chairman of the Telangana Sports Authority Shivasena Reddy, Managing Director Dr. Sonibala Devi, Secretary of the Telangana Olympic Association Malla Reddy, and others.

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla praised the Telangana government for organizing the large-scale Fit India Sundays on Cycling program and promoting fitness and sports culture among the people. He said there is no shortage of sports talent in Telangana. He appreciated the continuous efforts of the sports department to encourage athletes and organize various sports activities in the state.

The ministers and sports advisor actively participated in the rally. They complimented the Telangana sports department for organizing such numerous sports events that encourage greater participation of people in physical activities and sports.

The rally started from the practice ground near the main gate of Gachibowli Stadium and returned to the stadium via IIIT Junction, Gachibowli Flyover, Pistahouse Junction, BITS, Cable Bridge, Madhapur, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Center Road, and Biodiversity Road.

The program saw participation from Cyberabad Police Commissioner Ramesh Reddy, Deputy Director of the Sports Authority, coaches, representatives from various sports associations and cycling associations, as well as a large number of young cyclists and players. Participants in the rally were given certificates and mementos by the Telangana Sports Authority.

Gachibowli Stadium
