Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based Indrajaal Drone Defense announced the launch of an AI-enabled counter-drone system on Wednesday. The company stated in a release that the vehicle, named Indrajaal Ranger, is India’s first counter-drone patrol vehicle, designed to detect, track, and neutralize hostile drones.

With the rapid increase in cross-border drone-based smuggling of drugs, weapons, and explosives along India’s western and northern borders, Indrajaal Drone Defense has launched the Indrajaal Ranger, a ready-to-deploy system. It is the country’s first mobile counter-drone patrol vehicle, specifically designed to counter cross-border aerial threats.

AI-Based Threat Assessment and Instant Drone Neutralization

The counter-drone patrol vehicle is designed as a purpose-built combat vehicle capable of detecting drones on the move, conducting real-time patrol and surveillance, performing autonomous threat assessment via AI, enabling instant interception and neutralization, and providing seamless coverage along border roads, canals, agricultural areas, critical infrastructure, and dense urban zones.

India is facing a new type of enemy—one that flies. Smugglers no longer cross borders on foot; they cross via air in minutes. The Indrajaal Ranger is India’s answer to this new battlefield. Built on an all-terrain platform and powered by Indrajaal’s SkyOS autonomous engine, the Indrajaal Ranger integrates a 10 km identification range, a 4 km mitigation range, and AI-powered tracking. The release stated that it also includes multiple counter-UAS options, including cyber takeover, soft-kill measures, and interceptor drones.
