Quinton de Kock arrived and dominated in IPL 2026. Playing his first match of the 19th season, de Kock (112*) played a brilliant century innings against Punjab Kings on Thursday and propelled Mumbai Indians to a score of 196 runs. However, the innings of Prabhsimran Singh and captain Shreyas Iyer proved too much for de Kock, and Punjab continued their winning campaign by defeating Mumbai by 7 wickets. This is Punjab’s fourth win of this season. The team has reached the top of the points table. They have not faced defeat so far. Meanwhile, this is Mumbai’s fourth consecutive loss.

The Mumbai team was in trouble after losing two wickets for 12 runs, but de Kock staged a comeback for Mumbai in the match with a 122-run partnership for the third wicket with Naman Dhir (50). This is de Kock’s third century in the IPL, while it is his second century this season. Earlier, Sanju Samson had scored a century against Delhi Capitals. Following that, the century partnership (139) between Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer sealed the victory for Punjab.
