According to sources, embassies are closely monitoring the situation due to concerns that some foreign nationals may have been affected and over security issues.
In fact, after people who came to India for medical tourism were caught in the fire, embassies of nearly all countries in Delhi went on alert mode. They were calling officials from local police to district police to gather information. Embassies of several countries, including the United States, Switzerland, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, continuously inquired whether any of their nationals were among the dead or injured.
