Aurangabad. In a tragic road accident near Dev Mod under the Mufassil police station area of Bihar’s Aurangabad district, a collision between a bus full of tourists and a truck early Monday morning resulted in the deaths of three people, while several other passengers were injured. The impact was so severe that the front part of the bus was completely destroyed, and the vehicle was torn apart. Chaos ensued at the scene, and local residents began relief and rescue operations.
The bus carrying tourists was traveling from Bodh Gaya to Kashi. During this time, near Dev Mod village, the bus collided with a truck trailer while attempting to overtake. Three tourists on the bus died on the spot, and 20 others were injured. The deceased were identified as Hazratya, Fatmavati, and Pashule Venkatesh, residents of Sangama village in Nellore district.
According to eyewitnesses, a large number of tourists were on the bus at the time of the accident. After the collision, several passengers were trapped inside the bus and were rescued with the help of police, administration, and relief teams. The injured were immediately admitted to nearby hospitals, where the condition of some is reported to be critical.
Initial investigations suggest that speeding, negligence, or road conditions may be possible causes of the accident. However, the police have clarified that a detailed investigation is underway to determine the actual causes. The damaged vehicles were removed from the road to restore traffic.
The administration has expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and has given instructions for better treatment of the injured. Officials say that all aspects related to the accident will be investigated, and necessary action will be taken.
This accident once again highlights the need for road safety and adherence to traffic rules. Experts believe that regular inspection of long-distance vehicles, adherence to prescribed speed limits, and driver alertness can play a significant role in reducing such accidents.
