Mumbai (Maharashtra), June 1: The official jersey of the Thane SkyRisers team for the Women’s T20 Mumbai League (WT20) was unveiled in a grand ceremony. The chief guest was Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik.
Led by icon player Saima Thakor, the team’s impressive jersey was launched. The team owners are Vihang Pratap Sarnaik, Anahita Vihang Sarnaik, Shilpa Mohit Singhal, Mohit Singhal, and Prateek Shelke. The much-anticipated league is being organized by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA).
The league will run from June 1 to June 13, 2026. Thane SkyRisers are fully prepared for the competition. The final is scheduled for June 13, 2026.
The Thane SkyRisers women’s team, prepared by selecting and training top domestic cricket players, includes icon player Saima Thakor, whose performance will be worth watching.
Notably, the Women’s T20 Mumbai League has been initiated by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). Excellent teams have been selected for this franchise-based league, similar to the Men’s T20 Mumbai League.
This league will be a milestone for women cricketers in Mumbai. MCA President Ajinkya Naik’s initiative to encourage women’s cricket in Mumbai is commendable.
