Student Honor Ceremony-2026: Education, Social Service, and Outstanding Achievements Honored
Surat. The “Student Honor Ceremony-2026” organized by the Samast Maratha Kunbi Patil Samaj Welfare Trust was concluded in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, discipline, and pride.
The ceremony began with a tribute to seven people who lost their lives in an ST bus accident near Bardoli on June 2, coming from Maharashtra. Distinguished guests and community members observed two minutes of silence to pay homage to the departed souls and expressed condolences to the grieving families.
Following this, the honor ceremony commenced. A large number of students, parents, community members, and distinguished guests from various fields were present. Rani Lakshmibai Community Hall was packed, reflecting the growing awareness of education in the community and trust in the Trust.
The ceremony was attended by many dignitaries including Chhotubhai Patil, President of Maratha Patil Samaj Mandal; Deputy Mayor Sudhakar Chaudhary; former Deputy Mayor Dr. Narendra Patil; Dr. Ravindra Patil; councilors Bhaidasbhai Patil, Sanjaybhai Patil, Ravindra Khairnar; former councilor Vinod Bhagwan Patil; councilors Alka Patil and Sushma Patil, as well as several notable individuals from education, administration, and police departments.
Sangeeta Tai Patil, MLA from Limbayat constituency, sent a message of good wishes for the students, hoping for their bright future. Jigneshbhai Patil, President of Youth for Gujarat, also sent congratulations and best wishes to the students.
During the event, a total of 210 students who excelled in Class 10, Class 12, undergraduate, postgraduate, and various professional courses were honored.
Honoring such a large number of students from a single platform in a timely and well-organized manner was a matter of pride for the community. The entire program, including addresses by chief guests, information about the Trust’s activities, and the honor ceremony, was successfully completed within just three hours.
On this occasion, special recognition was given to PSI Sanjay Murlidhar Patil and Sunil Gorakh Desle, who have been awarded the President’s Medal. Additionally, all recently elected councilors from the Patil community were also honored for their contributions to community welfare.

Chandrakant Patil made a special contribution in verifying and correcting details of trophies, certificates, and student information. Shyam Sir played a notable role in inviting students and parents, while Bhaskar Patil, Ankush Patil, Pramod Salunkhe, Anil Patil, and Prashant Patil (Kotiwala Bhau), who energized the program, made significant contributions to the preparations. Additionally, Rajubhai Patil and all donors provided important support for the event’s success.
Deepak R. Patil, founder of the Trust, expressed gratitude to community leaders, donors, parents, students, the women’s organizing committee, and volunteers for the success of the program. He stated that the Trust will continue to organize such inspiring and socially beneficial programs in the future with the aim of encouraging students in the community and advancing the new generation in the field of education.
At the end of the ceremony, the Trust expressed heartfelt gratitude to all community members, dignitaries, parents, students, volunteers, and donors who supported the event directly or indirectly.
