Surat: Noble deed inspired by the youth group of Shri Surat Modh Vanik Adajan Randher Road, eye donation brings new light to four lives

Thanks to the awareness and persistent efforts of the Shri Surat Modh Vanik Adajan Randher Road Youth Group, four eye donations were recently received, giving four visually impaired individuals the chance to regain sight. This noble act is an inspiring step toward social service.

Among the donors was the late Praveenchandra Manchharam Mandelewala (age 82, resident of Mandewala Estate, Athwa Lions), whose donation was inspired by Nilesh Mandelewala (Donate Life). The second donor was the late Sureshchandra Balubhai Mamrawala (age 74, resident of D-103, Namrata Complex, Honey Park Road, Adajan), inspired by Champakbhai Bodawala (SMC).

The eye donations were facilitated by the dedicated doctors of Lok Drishti Eye Bank and Red Cross Blood Bank.

The youth group’s eye donation committee played a crucial role in making this service possible. Committee members coordinated with the eye bank and paid tribute to the departed souls with the recitation of the Gayatri Mantra. This effort not only raises awareness about eye donation in society but will also inspire future generations to serve humanity.
