The matchups for the 107th National Championship (High School Baseball Federation) have been decided.
The West Tokyo tournament will see 123 teams (130 schools) aiming for the summit of summer. The top 16 teams from the spring city tournament will be seeded. Three combined teams will participate.
At the lottery on the 14th, representatives from each school including captains and managers gathered. The first seed, Tokai Sugao, will face the winner between Hikarioka and Hinodai. Last summer’s top 16 teams, Tamagawa Academy and Hoya, have been decided to compete against the winners.
In the West Tokyo tournament, Hachioji North and Go Shou will clash in the opening game.
