Police are verifying an incident where a male coffee shop employee in Vinh Tuy Ward (Hanoi) was punched in the face by a customer and fell to the floor. The incident is suspected to have originated from the employee reminding the customer not to smoke.

On September 18, the police of Vinh Tuy Ward (Hanoi) are verifying the case of a male coffee shop employee being assaulted by a customer.

According to feedback from the clip, the incident is suspected to have started when the employee reminded the customer not to smoke.

The incident is believed to have occurred at a coffee shop in an urban area within Vinh Tuy Ward.

It happened on the afternoon of September 17. At that time, a group of about 5-6 people came to use the services at the coffee shop.

Seeing that the customer’s smoking was affecting those around them—the shop was quite crowded at the time—the employee reminded them twice, but the customer continued to smoke inside the shop.

The employee reminded them a third time, asking the customer to comply with the shop’s regulations, then went to the cashier counter.

At that moment, the smoker made a pointing gesture, and immediately a man sitting nearby stood up, approached the cashier counter, and punched the employee in the face, causing him to fall to the floor.

Many social media users expressed outrage at the man’s behavior and hope the authorities will soon step in to verify and handle the matter.

The People’s Committee of Hanh Thong Ward (Ho Chi Minh City) has requested a dental clinic whose staff assaulted a customer to temporarily suspend operations until the matter is resolved.
