A resident of Krasnodar was detained in August of last year in the Lipetsk region. He is accused of illegal trafficking of over 246 thousand packs of tobacco products.
It was reported that the man was illegally storing a large batch of unexcised cigarette products of various brands in a hangar in the village of Yasnaya Polyana. Equipment and components that could be used for the production of counterfeit goods were also found there. A criminal case was initiated against the suspect for the illegal production and trafficking of tobacco products.
During the preliminary investigation, it was found that the Krasnodar resident, without the appropriate license, purchased more than 246 thousand packs of unmarked tobacco products worth over 31 million rubles. He planned to sell the cigarettes. The equipment found in the hangar was intended for the production of cigarette filters.
In addition, 15 foreign citizens were working and living in the hangar in violation of migration laws. 24 administrative protocols were drawn up against the migrants.
The criminal case has been sent to court for consideration on its merits.
