Viral Acting Director of Perumda Tirtawening Angrily Asks for CCTV to Be Removed

The social media world of TikTok is buzzing with an alleged audio recording of the Acting Director of Perumda Tirtawening, Bandung City, who is heard being angry with his subordinates. The cause is because he requested the installation of CCTV in the directors’ room of the state-owned water management company to be removed.

In the audio recording that is circulating, he is initially heard advising his subordinates. He himself serves as the Regional Assistant for General Administration and was appointed by the Mayor of Bandung on June 17, 2025 to serve as Acting Director of Perumda Tirtawening.

At that moment, he revealed that he has been a civil servant with several positions such as village head, district head, head of department, to Acting Regional Secretary of Bandung City. He then advised his subordinates that he never disobeys orders from his leaders.

Then, his voice is heard confronting a female employee to explain her duties at Perumda Tirtawening. The woman then explained that her job is to support all systems related to information technology, administrative smoothness, to company business.

Shortly after receiving that explanation, he is heard starting to raise his voice. The cause occurred because he did not want CCTV installed in the directors’ room of Perumda Tirtawening because he felt his performance was constantly being monitored.

“Does it really have to be monitored inside? I’ve already ordered several times, please remove the CCTV inside,” he said in the audio.

The female employee then answered again that she had not received any kind of order for the removal of the CCTV. Next, he is heard getting more furious and then confronting an employee named Heri.

The voice of the official named Heri then answered that he had coordinated with the senior manager regarding the CCTV. The CCTV in the room was said to have been deactivated, only the physical device had not been removed because they were still waiting for instructions from higher officials.

He became even more furious upon hearing this answer. Because, according to him in the recording, his orders should be carried out without having to go through a lot of bureaucracy to various parties.

“Why does it have to go to the director? Now I want to remove it, I have to write a letter to him, is that procedure sane? I have to write a letter to him, let me try if it’s sane, he is below me. Just think, what is the procedure mechanism like,” he said.

“It should be verified with me, I want it removed. It was just removed yesterday, it must have been leaked. Every time I have a meeting in that room, someone is listening and someone outside knows. There is, right, there are people who know. That’s a violation, a serious violation, I consider it a serious violation. Please give punishment,” he added.

In the midst of that, a woman’s voice is heard again stating that the CCTV installation was done according to ISO 270001, an international standard that sets requirements for information security management systems. Furthermore, the woman stated that if the CCTV is removed, the company cannot obtain this ISO certification.

His response turned out to be unexpected. In the audio recording, he stated that he did not need ISO 270001 certification and asked for the CCTV in the directors’ room to be removed immediately.

“Well, I don’t need it, if the leader doesn’t need it, then it’s not needed… ISO certification is not needed. Please, don’t have any more CCTV inside here, everything is leaked, please give a lesson and give punishment, that is the heaviest violation,” he explained.

The Mayor of Bandung finally spoke up about this issue. He confirmed that he had received the information and that it had been resolved within the ranks of Perumda Tirtawening.
