The death of a woman with the initials LS (25), a resident of Medan City, at an entertainment venue on Ring Road, Hutarakyat Village, Sidikalang District, Dairi Regency, still raises questions.

Was her death truly caused by a drink overdose, or were there other factors involved?

“This remains our question to this day,” said the Director of the Legal Office of the Indonesian Advocates Federation (Ferari) in Dairi.

According to the director, the victim’s death was highly unusual. She died at Sidikalang Hospital with her eyes open and white foam coming from her mouth.

If the cause of death was an overdose, there should have been a hospital-issued autopsy report.

“What was the cause? Was it due to drinks or drugs (illegal substances)?” he questioned.

Based on field investigations, there is suspicion that LS died from a drug overdose.

“The police should thoroughly investigate where the drugs came from and who the victim was with at the time of the incident,” he emphasized.

Circulating information suggests the possible involvement of a village head and a businessman with the surname Sihombing.

“These two individuals brought the victim to Sidikalang Hospital around 3:00 AM. We have factual evidence,” he stated.

There is suspicion that the victim died from an overdose after being forced to consume drinks and drugs by her companions at an entertainment venue called Star Light.

“We urge the police to investigate this case professionally to bring clarity,” he insisted.

The director also appreciated the Dairi Police’s efforts in combating drugs but reminded them not to be “selective” in their operations.

A few days ago, the Dairi Police raided seven nightlife venues. However, not a single worker or visitor tested positive for drug use.

“This is in stark contrast to the suspected drug overdose death case,” he explained.

Strangely, Star Light, where LS died, was not raided, while a café in front of it was.

“If this is the case, it shows selective enforcement in conducting raids,” he remarked.

To achieve a drug-free Dairi, the director also requested the Dairi Regent, Vickner Sinaga, to conduct urine tests on all village heads and civil servants.

“Village heads and civil servants must be at the forefront of combating drug abuse. Therefore, they must be clean from drugs,” he concluded.
