Jaipur, June 4. The weather pattern changed again from Wednesday due to the activation of a new western disturbance and a cyclonic circulation in Rajasthan.
Storms and rain began in many parts of the state. Rain occurred in Udaipur district after noon, while hail the size of berries fell in the Sabla area of Dungarpur district.
The weather department has issued a warning of strong winds and rain in several districts for Thursday as well.
According to the department, an orange alert has been issued for 9 districts, while a yellow alert will remain in the rest of the districts except Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jalore, and Sirohi.
The director of the Jaipur Meteorological Centre stated that due to the activation of another strong western disturbance, there is a possibility of storms with speeds of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour along with moderate to heavy rain at some places in parts of Jodhpur, Bikaner, Udaipur, and Ajmer divisions.
The effect of heat and humidity persisted throughout the day on Wednesday in the state. The highest temperature was recorded in Bikaner at 43.6 degrees Celsius.
Additionally, a temperature of 43.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jaisalmer and 43.3 degrees Celsius in Sri Ganganagar. Due to clear weather, people faced discomfort from strong sunlight and humidity throughout the day.
During the last 24 hours, dense clouds prevailed in Sirohi and Udaipur districts, and light to moderate rain was recorded at many places. Meanwhile, a change in weather was also observed in Karauli, Dholpur, Sawai Madhopur, Bharatpur, and Dausa districts in the evening.
The weather department has predicted that strong winds, thunder, and rain activities are likely to continue in many parts of the state over the next 24 hours.
Udaipur
