Kindergarten

A kindergarten is an early childhood educational institution designed to prepare children for formal schooling, typically for ages 3–6. The concept was pioneered by German educator Friedrich Froebel in 1837, who coined the term meaning “garden of children” and emphasized learning through play and structured activities. Kindergartens have since become a foundational part of education systems worldwide, fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development.
