TANGERANG – A tangible expression of care for others continues to be promoted by Indomaret Tangerang 2 Branch. In collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross of the Regency, this retail company successfully held a mass blood donation event on Monday (18/05). This initiative not only aims to meet blood supply needs in the Tangerang area but also serves as a moment to boost employee morale and internal performance.
A Form of Corporate Social Responsibility
The Branch Manager of Indomaret Tangerang 2, Royanto Budi, emphasized that this blood donation activity is part of the company’s commitment to supporting public health. According to him, the company is not only business-oriented but must also have a positive impact on the surrounding environment.
“This activity is a real manifestation of our care for others. We realize that every drop of blood donated is very meaningful for those in need. Through synergy with the Red Cross, we want to ensure that Indomaret’s presence in Tangerang provides sustainable social benefits for the wider community,” said Royanto Budi.
Encouraging Active Employee Participation
In line with that, the Deputy Branch Manager of Indomaret Tangerang 2, Buhari, added that this activity received full support from all staff members. The team continues to encourage employees to have high empathy, which will later be reflected in excellent service to customers.
“We greatly appreciate the enthusiasm of our colleagues in the field. This action is not just about donating blood, but it’s a form of active employee participation in humanitarian movements. We believe that this spirit of sharing will foster positive values in every employee, ultimately improving their work quality and discipline in serving the community,” explained Buhari.
On the other hand, the Development Manager of Indomaret Tangerang 2, Suwarso, highlighted the aspect of human resource development. Social activities like this are considered very effective for strengthening inter-departmental cohesion and boosting employee work motivation outside of daily routines.
“This mass blood donation is an excellent means to strengthen team cohesion. When employees work together in humanitarian activities, a sense of togetherness automatically forms. A solid work environment certainly has a direct impact on employee productivity and motivation, making them more enthusiastic in achieving the company’s work targets,” concluded Suwarso.
The smoothly conducted blood donation activity is expected to become a routine agenda that can strengthen the strategic partnership between Indomaret Tangerang 2 Branch and the Regency’s Red Cross, while also making a real contribution to the health of the Tangerang community.
At the event, 59 workers registered as donors. Subsequently, 51 people were deemed eligible to have their blood taken.
