Several groups rallied in front of the Senate Building in Pasay City as they called for the continuation of the impeachment process against Vice President Sara Duterte.

Protesters held placards and banners in front of the Senate building as lawmakers are set to decide how to proceed with Duterte’s impeachment complaint following the Supreme Court ruling declaring the Articles of Impeachment unconstitutional.

Earlier, Senator Bato dela Rosa shared that the Duterte bloc will most likely vote in favor of possible motions to dismiss the impeachment trials during the deliberation.

He also reiterated that the 13-0-2 Supreme Court decision was “immediately executory” despite the appeal filed by the House.

“Let’s see what comes out tomorrow. I don’t want to preempt anything, but if you ask me, I am very much inclined to support and obey the decision of the Supreme Court. No questions asked,” Bato said.
