is ready to take on other projects following her recognition at the award ceremony for her role as Teacher Emmy in “Balota.”
In a report on “24 Oras” on Tuesday, the Kapuso Primetime Queen shared that choosing to do “Balota” was her way of contributing to the country.
“We all have different reasons when making films. This time, with ‘Balota,’ the reason is to contribute to your country. I had many realizations and learned a lot about the true state of our society,” she said.
For her next goal, she said she is ready and willing to accept whatever projects come her way.
“Whatever projects come and are given to you by the Lord, you just accept them wholeheartedly,” she said.
“Perhaps in your youth, you should have many goals, but at this point in my life, whatever project is there and is good, I’ll try it. If there are none, that’s okay.”
Last year, she also won the Best Actress award for “Balota” at the ceremony, sharing the trophy with Gabby Padilla (“Kono Basho”).
Directed by Kip Oebanda, “Balota” is currently streaming on Netflix.
Meanwhile, she is the host of the award-winning drama anthology “Woman of the Hour,” which is celebrating its eighth year on air this August.
She also currently serves as a judge in the Kapuso reality dance competition “Dance of the Century,” which is hosted by Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards.
