Depok City – Police arrested a man identified by the initial A in the Mampang area, Pancoran Mas District, West Java. A was arrested for being caught acting as a courier for crystal methamphetamine.
A was arrested by the Tajurhalang Police precinct. A works daily as a driver for the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.
“Yes, that’s correct, we arrested an MBG driver who also worked as a crystal methamphetamine drug courier and user,” said Made, on Tuesday (May 12, 2026).
The suspect’s arrest began with the arrest of an individual identified by the initial D in the Tajurhalang District area, Bogor. D was a catfish pecel seller.
“Two suspects, first the catfish pecel seller with the initial D was arrested, then from the development we arrested A, who is an MBG driver,” he explained.
Before the arrest, police noticed D’s suspicious behavior. Shortly after, investigators immediately apprehended D.
“Officers immediately moved to secure the suspect without resistance in an empty field owned by a resident,” he said.
D was then taken to the police station after being arrested for further examination. He was arrested along with evidence of crystal methamphetamine.
“From the search results, police found one package wrapped in clear plastic clip and ready for distribution with a total weight of 1.03 grams,” he disclosed.
From that arrest, further development was carried out until A was successfully arrested. Meanwhile, police are still pursuing the supplier of crystal methamphetamine for both suspects.
