RADARBANDUNG.ID, – Ahead of the 2026 Simultaneous Village Head Elections, particularly in the district, the emergence of several Village Head candidates marks the beginning of the campaign period in the region known as the “City of Pineapples.”
This was observed in Jalancagak Village, Jalancagak District, on Friday, May 15.
Several billboards featuring H. Tatang Setiawan have begun appearing at various locations within the village.
The appearance of billboards with H. Tatang’s image, who is known as a car rental entrepreneur, indicates his serious intention to run in the upcoming Village Head election in Jalancagak.
The billboard reads: “H. Tatang Setiawan, Candidate for Village Head of Jalancagak,” with the hashtag “Strengthen Brotherhood, Tighten Kinship, Together Realize Goodness.” It has been installed in several hamlets in Jalancagak Village.
Hoping to enter the 2026 Village Head election race, “Kang Tatang,” as he is affectionately known, stated his desire to serve the village and district of Jalancagak.
“I want to organize the village. What is not yet good can be made better. Excuse me if I have to say this, but my economy is already sufficient because I have a business. My intention to run for village head is solely to advance the village. I was born in Jalancagak, isn’t that right? I want to serve my own village,” said Kang Tatang when met by reporters.
He also conveyed, through the theme “Strengthen Brotherhood, Tighten Kinship, Together Realize Goodness,” his official vision and mission for his candidacy to the community.
He affirmed his commitment to building an independent, transparent, and prosperous Jalancagak Village.
He also targets the realization of honest village government governance and equitable and fair development. He emphasized the importance of open village government management so that the community can know and supervise every ongoing development process.
“In essence, village government must be transparent and side with the interests of the community. With honesty and openness, residents’ trust will grow, and development can run better,” he said.
To realize this vision, Tatang has set several main missions, including reforming village government governance by emphasizing transparency, accountability, and active community participation.
“This includes empowering the community’s economy by strengthening the village’s local potential, including the agricultural sector, small businesses, and various other productive activities. That, among others, is another mission I will convey directly to residents after officially becoming a village head candidate,” said Kang Tatang.
Tatang hopes that all elements of the Jalancagak Village community can actively participate together in building the village towards a better direction. Because village progress can only be achieved through togetherness, openness, and real work.
