The Tangerang City Government has confirmed that the prices of basic food commodities have remained stable following the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H holiday.
Monitoring of staple food prices continues to be carried out to anticipate shortages and price surges.
A number of traditional markets targeted for monitoring include Anyar Market, Malabar Market, Poris Market, Plaza Baru Ciledug Market, and others.
“We continue to carry out routine monitoring and provide daily updates on the prices of basic food commodities. This includes today after the Eid holiday; almost all commodities are still stable with no significant increase compared to previous days.”
From the monitoring results, no price surges were found amidst increased consumer demand over the past week, particularly for several commodities such as rice, red chilies, beef, and broiler chicken.
The following is a list of basic food commodity prices in several traditional markets in Tangerang City as of yesterday afternoon, including:
1. Premium rice: Rp13,000 – Rp16,000 per kilogram.
2. Granulated sugar: Rp18,000 – Rp19,000 per kilogram.
3. Cooking oil: Rp16,500 – Rp21,000 per liter.
4. Beef: Rp135,000 – Rp150,000 per kilogram.
5. Chicken meat: Rp40,000 – Rp60,000 per kilogram.
6. Chicken eggs: Rp31,000 – Rp32,000 per kilogram.
7. Red bird’s eye chili: Rp70,000 – Rp110,000 per kilogram.
8. Shallots: Rp35,000 – Rp50,000 per kilogram.
9. Garlic: Rp30,000 – Rp45,000 per kilogram.
