The Ministry of Education and Technical Education announced the details and steps for reviewing and registering the application form for the 2026 General Secondary Education exams, confirming that next Thursday, February 5, 2026, is the final deadline for registering the electronic form via the Ministry’s official website.

The Ministry clarified that students will begin submitting the electronic forms to their schools starting Sunday, February 8, 2026, stressing the necessity of adhering to the specified deadlines to prevent a student from being considered as having failed to apply for the exam.

The Ministry confirmed that the student must submit the printed electronic form with all its contents to the school’s student affairs official, accompanied by the original recent computerized birth certificate, a copy of the national ID card, and 3 recent 4×6 personal photos matching the photo on the form, with the student’s full name written on the back and stamped with the Republic’s emblem seal.

The Ministry stressed the obligation of the student and their guardian to sign the pledge regarding not possessing a mobile phone or any electronic devices inside the examination hall, after reviewing the ministerial decision regulating this matter.

It pointed out that the school’s educational counselor is responsible for accurately reviewing the form’s data, foremost being the specialization, foreign languages, religion, translated subjects, and failing subjects for repeating students, while ensuring the validity of student registration in private tuition-based schools.

The Ministry also clarified that a fee of 20 pounds is to be paid for issuing a failing grades statement for each student (a currently enrolled repeater), and the amounts are to be paid via a single postal money order in the name of the Central Administration for Examinations.

The Ministry concluded its statement by confirming the inaccuracy of circulating rumors regarding a postponement of the start date for the second semester of 2026, stressing the schools’ commitment to the approved academic calendar.
