Krasnodar, January 23. Road and utility services in Krasnodar have been placed on high alert for the next three days. They will operate around the clock. A storm warning has been issued for the city. Forecasters predict rain turning to snow, icy conditions, frost, and strong wind gusts.
— Our specialists are monitoring the situation in the city 24/7. We have 132 units of equipment ready. 80 of them — snowplows — have already begun night duty. The remaining 35 water-pumping vehicles and 17 motor pumps will be dispatched to locations in case of flooding.
If necessary, the equipment will perform work to clear roads of snow and treat roadways with a sand-salt mixture. The city head urged Krasnodar residents not to drive on summer tires. Citizens were also reminded that during the day, due to warming, icicles may fall.
Utility services continue to clear sidewalks, bus stops, overground and underground pedestrian crossings at night and treat them with anti-icing mixture. Additionally, in case of snowmelt, storm drains are being cleared in the regional center.
