BEKASI – The Bekasi Metro Police have uncovered a suspected corruption case involving grant funds from the National Paralympic Committee of Indonesia (NPCI) in Bekasi Regency, with state losses in this case reaching IDR 7.1 billion.

In this case, police have named two NPCI officials as suspects. The two suspects are the NPCI Chairperson with the initials KD and the former Treasurer with the initials NY. The designation of suspects was announced by the Bekasi Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Mustofa, during a press conference at the Bekasi Metro Police Headquarters.

“State losses in this case amount to IDR 7,117,660,158 according to the audit results from the Bekasi Regency Inspectorate,” said Mustofa.

These losses are detailed in the PKKN Report Number 710.1.2.2/321/IRDA/XI-2025 dated November 11.

“The case began with the disbursement of grant funds received by the Bekasi Regency NPCI from the Bekasi Regency Government in 2024. The total grant funds disbursed reached IDR 12 billion,” stated Mustofa.

These funds consisted of the pure 2024 Regional Budget (APBD) of IDR 9 billion, which was disbursed on February 7, 2024. Subsequently, the 2024 Revised Regional Budget (APBD) of IDR 3 billion was disbursed on November 5, 2024.

Investigators suspect that the grant funds were misused for the personal benefit of the two suspects. Suspect KD is alleged to have used IDR 2 billion from the grant money for the campaign expenses of a candidate for the Bekasi Regency DPRD (Regional Legislative Council) in 2024.

Meanwhile, suspect NY is alleged to have received grant funds amounting to IDR 1.79 billion. From this amount, IDR 319.4 million was used to purchase two units of Toyota Innova Zenix cars. The purchase was made using the identities of suspect NY’s nephew and brother-in-law.
