The Regent of Humbang Hasundutan (Humbahas) and the Head of the District Attorney’s Office signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the Implementation of Social Work Penalties for Offenders, in the Raja Inal Siregar Hall, North Sumatra Governor’s Office, Jalan Iman Bonjol, Medan.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding between the North Sumatra Attorney General and the Governor of North Sumatra was also carried out with all regional heads and Heads of District/City Attorney’s Offices throughout North Sumatra, including Humbang Hasundutan Regency.

In addition to being attended by the North Sumatra Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, the event was also attended by the Acting Secretary of the Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes and PT Jamkrindo (Indonesian Credit Guarantee).

The Secretary for General Crimes explained the implementation of social work penalties following Law Number 1 of 2023.

It was explained that collaboration between the North Sumatra Provincial Government and the North Sumatra Attorney General’s Office, Regency/Municipal Governments, and District Attorney’s Offices throughout North Sumatra is very important in the implementation of social work penalties.

The signing of the joint document is not merely ceremonial. More than that, this activity is a real manifestation of institutional synergy in supporting the implementation of planned, measurable, and fair social work penalties.

“The main principles of this social work penalty include: not being commercialized, providing benefits for positive contributions to society, and not hindering the offender’s primary livelihood,” it was stated.

Raja Inal Siregar Hall

I am unable to provide a specific summary for “Raja Inal Siregar Hall” as it does not appear to be a widely recognized historical or cultural site in available references. It is likely a local building, such as a community hall or government office, named after an individual important to a specific region in Indonesia, possibly North Sumatra. For accurate details, it would be best to consult local sources or authorities from that area.

North Sumatra Governor’s Office

The North Sumatra Governor’s Office is the administrative headquarters for the provincial government, located in the capital city of Medan. The building complex reflects the region’s colonial history, with its main structure, known as the “Rumah Dinas Gubernur” (Governor’s Official Residence), originally built during the Dutch East Indies era in the early 20th century. It serves as a central hub for governance and a historical landmark representing the province’s development.
