Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the manufacturing sector is India’s greatest strength and emphasized the government’s focus on generating employment opportunities in the private sector.

PM Modi made these remarks on Saturday after distributing appointment letters to 51,000 youths during a virtual employment fair. These young individuals have been recruited across various government departments and organizations.

Highlighting the manufacturing sector as the country’s biggest strength, the Prime Minister said, “Today, India’s greatest strength is our manufacturing sector. A large number of new jobs are being created in manufacturing. To accelerate this sector, the budget this year announced ‘Mission Manufacturing.'”

He added that the government is placing significant emphasis on creating employment opportunities in the private sector. “The Indian government is also focused on generating new job opportunities in the private sector. Recently, the government approved a new scheme, the Employment Incentive Scheme,” he said.

Describing democracy and the youth population as India’s limitless strengths, PM Modi stated, “Today, appointment letters have been given to over 51,000 youths. Through such employment fairs, millions of young people have secured permanent jobs in the Indian government. These young individuals are now playing a major role in nation-building.”

“Today, the world recognizes that India possesses two limitless strengths—demography and democracy. That is, the largest youth population and the largest democracy,” he said. He added that a system of startups and research is empowering the youth.

The Prime Minister said, “The ecosystem of startups, innovation, and research being built in the country today is enhancing the capabilities of India’s youth.” Citing a report by the International Labour Organization, he mentioned that India has been ranked among the most equitable countries.

“The report states that over the past decade, more than 900 million Indian citizens have been brought under welfare schemes. Today, major global institutions like the World Bank are praising India. India is being ranked among the world’s most equitable countries,” he said.

PM Modi stated that such employment fairs reflect the government’s commitment to empowering the youth and building a developed India.
