#Nanshan Volunteer Reporter Station# The Whole Nation Welcomes the National Games, Building a Future with Good Posture – Volunteer Reporter Parent-Child Spinal Health Awareness Event On the morning of October 12th, I participated in the “The Whole Nation Welcomes the National Games, Building a Future with Good Posture – Volunteer Reporter Parent-Child Spinal Health Awareness” event, where we learned about spinal health knowledge together. This event was very rewarding for me. First, participants introduced themselves one by one, with some sharing personal stories related to spinal health, using real experiences to emphasize the importance of protecting our spines, which resonated with everyone present. Next, the instructor explained common misconceptions about daily spinal relaxation, pointing out that twisting the neck when tired from work or study can increase spinal instability, and demonstrated the correct relaxation methods on site. After following along with the practice, we all felt significant relief from the tension in our necks and spines. Then, another instructor taught us how to prevent and measure spinal curvature, as well as early intervention for spinal curvature. They explained the importance of spinal curvature and its impact on the body, while emphasizing the crucial role of maintaining correct standing, sitting, and sleeping postures, providing practical health guidance for parent-child families. At the end of the event, the instructors conducted spinal examinations for the participants and gave personalized health recommendations based on individual situations. This event helped me understand the importance of spinal health. I hope everyone can start by correcting one small posture and persisting with one relaxation exercise, paying attention to spinal health together, and welcoming each day with a healthy posture.
