The Depok Transportation Agency (Dishub), through its Public Street Lighting Technical Implementation Unit (UPT PJU), has reported impressive performance in road infrastructure maintenance. By the third quarter of 2025, the UPT PJU had carried out a total of 4,724 Public Street Lighting (PJU) maintenance activities.
Notably, there has been a trend of a decreasing number of maintenance activities from quarter to quarter. This decline is interpreted as an indication of increasing efficiency and stability of the lighting system in the field.
Efficiency Increases, Number of Faulty Points Decreases
Here are the details of the PJU maintenance activities carried out by the Transportation Agency:
Quarter | Number of Activities | Remarks |
Quarter I | 1,784 | |
Quarter II | 1,589 | Decreased |
Quarter III | 1,351 | Decreased |
Total | 4,724 |
It was emphasized that this decrease is good news. “The decrease in the number of maintenance activities actually indicates an improvement in the condition of the lighting infrastructure in the field,” it was stated.
The maintenance activities performed are very diverse, covering the replacement of damaged lamps, repair of networks and cables, replacement of panel boxes, cleaning of fixtures, and checking of automatic control systems (timers and light sensors).
With a total of more than 20 thousand PJU points in Depok, the Transportation Agency is fully committed to maintaining lighting quality for the safety and comfort of residents at night.
