Monday, June 30, 2025 – The University of Indonesia (UI) has achieved a proud milestone by ranking 189th globally in the QS World University Rankings (QS WUR) 2025, a significant rise from its previous position of 206th. This accomplishment places UI among the world’s Top 200 universities and strengthens its standing in Southeast Asia.

The Rector of UI stated that this success is the result of the collective efforts of the university’s academic community in promoting impactful research, innovation, and quality education. The improved ranking also reflects the success of UI’s strategy in expanding international collaborations, strengthening multidisciplinary research, and advancing research commercialization.

UI continues to invest in human resources, adaptive curricula, and global talent recruitment to establish itself as a globally competitive institution. The Rector encouraged all stakeholders to use this achievement as motivation to keep contributing to the nation and the world.
