Trump: Peace Deal with Iran Could Be Reached in the Next 1-2 Days
President Trump said he expects the US and Iran to soon reach a peace deal, possibly within the next few days, opening the possibility of de-escalating the conflict after weeks of tension.
In remarks, Trump said negotiations are “very likely” to take place this weekend in Pakistan, while affirming that “most of the key points have been completed” and the process could move quickly.
Meanwhile, in an interview, the US leader continued to express hope for an early agreement.
“The Iranians want to meet. They want to make a deal. I think a meeting could happen over the weekend. I believe we will have a deal in one or two days,” he said.
According to sources, a new round of negotiations between the US and Iran is scheduled to take place in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Iran Rejects Uranium Transfer Proposal, Warns of Retaliation Against US Blockade
Iran’s Foreign Ministry stated the country will not transfer its enriched uranium stockpile “to anywhere,” rejecting President Trump’s claim about Tehran’s potential agreement to hand it over.
“The transfer of Iran’s enriched uranium to the US has never been raised in the negotiations,” a spokesperson said, emphasizing that current talks focus on ending hostilities rather than the nuclear issue. Tehran also prioritizes plans to lift sanctions and demands compensation for damages.
Furthermore, the spokesperson criticized Trump’s statement about maintaining a naval blockade of Iran’s ports until a peace deal is reached, despite Tehran reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
“Iran will have an appropriate response. This is a violation of the ceasefire and Iran will take necessary measures,” the warning stated, noting that any decisions regarding the Strait of Hormuz “are determined on the ground, not on the Internet.”

Trump Orders Ban on Israeli Bombing of Lebanon
President Trump said Washington has requested Israel cease airstrikes in Lebanon, stressing that negotiation efforts between the US and Iran are unrelated to the situation in Beirut.
“Israel will not continue bombing Lebanon. They are forbidden by the US from doing that. Enough is enough,” Trump wrote on social media.
Israel has not issued a direct response. However, the Prime Minister previously stated the country’s military maintains a presence in southern Lebanon to counter an “imminent threat,” including risks from missiles and drones.
A US-backed ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon took effect, aiming to end clashes that erupted when Hezbollah forces attacked northern Israel in support of Iran. According to Lebanon, Israel’s retaliatory campaign has killed approximately 2,000 people.

Ukraine Warns Russia May Draw Belarus Back into War
President Volodymyr Zelensky assessed that Russia is preparing steps to draw Belarus deeper into the conflict with Kyiv. The information follows an intelligence report from the Commander-in-Chief.
“According to intelligence, road construction towards Ukraine and the establishment of artillery positions are taking place in the Belarus border area. We believe Russia is seeking to pull Belarus into the war once again,” Zelensky shared, warning Minsk of Ukraine’s “readiness to defend its territory and independence.”
The Ukrainian leader suggested Russia is redeploying forces, possibly to compensate for personnel shortages, explaining the increased military activity on Belarusian territory.
The Belarusian President – a close ally of the Russian leader – allowed Moscow to use Belarusian territory during the 2022 attack on Ukraine but stated he had no intention of sending troops to fight.
