Billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong rises to 76th place on the list of the world’s richest people.
The strong rally of Vingroup’s stock group has pushed the net asset value of Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong and his wife to a record high, exceeding $34 billion.
The session closed on April 16 near the 1,820-point mark, gaining over 19 points compared to the previous session. However, red still dominated the overall market with up to 213 codes declining, double the number of advancing stocks.
Among them, VIC contributed over 20 points to the index’s gain. The stock of Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong’s conglomerate rose to its ceiling price from the start of the afternoon session, reaching 189,300 VND/share – marking the second consecutive session hitting the ceiling.
Stocks within the Vingroup ecosystem were also covered in green, such as VHM (+4.45%), VPL (+2.5%), VRE (+1%).
The stock rally helped the Chairman of Vingroup become one of the top 5 individuals globally with the strongest asset growth rate today.
According to real-time data, as of April 16, Mr. Vuong’s net assets were valued at $30.9 billion, ranking 76th on the list of the world’s richest people.
Meanwhile, the assets of Ms. Pham Thu Huong – Vice Chairwoman of Vingroup and Mr. Vuong’s wife – increased to $3.3 billion, ranking 1,284th.
In its recently published 2025 annual report, Vingroup stated that its charter capital had surpassed 77,300 billion VND.
As of December 31, 2025, Vingroup Corporation and its subsidiaries had projects or operations in all 34 provinces and cities across the country.
In 2025, the group also continued to expand its operations to many countries worldwide, with its core business products being VinFast electric cars and electric motorcycles in key Asian markets such as Indonesia, the Philippines, India, and the Middle East.
The report also showed that last year, VIC stock continued to attract significant market attention.
As of the last day of 2025, Vingroup had over 7.7 billion shares outstanding, corresponding to a market capitalization of over 1.3 quadrillion VND. The maximum foreign ownership ratio was maintained at 49%.
Trading developments throughout the year showed a relatively wide price fluctuation range.
The closing price on the last trading day of the year was 169,600 VND/share, while the lowest recorded was 19,950 VND/share on February 12, 2025, and the highest was 169,900 VND/share on December 23.
Stock liquidity also saw strong differentiation, with the highest trading volume reaching nearly 94 million shares on August 4, 2025, while the lowest was 671,933 shares on January 20, 2025.
The price movement of VIC stock in 2025 showed a clear upward trend towards the end of the year, linked to many important milestones in the group’s operations.
Among these, March 2025 saw the event of Vinhomes launching the Vinhomes Wonder City project, followed by Vinpearl’s official listing in May 2025.
In August, Vingroup announced its green infrastructure and energy plans, while VinFast intensified international operations with the inauguration of a factory in India and the start of deliveries for the VinFast Limo Green model.
