On the morning of August 1, the Party Committee held its first Congress of Delegates for the 2025 – 2030 term.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and the Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, along with leaders of various Party committees and city departments, attended the congress.

Developing Bình Hưng Hòa Toward Green and High-Quality Living Standards

Bình Hưng Hòa Ward was established by reorganizing the entire natural area and population of Bình Hưng Hòa Ward, a large part of Bình Hưng Hòa A Ward (formerly Bình Tân District), and a portion of Sơn Kỳ Ward (formerly Tân Phú District).

The ward covers an area of 8.47 km2, with a population of nearly 188,000 and a density of about 22,000 people/km2. The Bình Hưng Hòa Ward Party Committee has 125 subordinate Party organizations and over 1,700 Party members.

Presenting the political report, the Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Bình Hưng Hòa Ward People’s Committee stated that the general goal for the 2025 – 2030 period, with a vision toward 2035, is to build a clean, strong, and united Party Committee and political system that is closely connected with the people, fosters innovation, and enhances leadership and task implementation capabilities to meet the demands of the new era.

The ward also aims to continue improving its urban planning, promoting urban development and renovation, and creating new spaces to drive high-value growth.

Enhancing digital transformation, focusing on cultural development, fostering innovation, ensuring social welfare, and maintaining political security and social order are key priorities.

Building Bình Hưng Hòa into a green, high-quality, civilized, modern, and compassionate ward will contribute positively to Ho Chi Minh City’s development.

Among the targets set for the 2025 – 2030 period, the ward aims to achieve annual budget revenue goals and increase total social investment by 5% by 2030 compared to the beginning of the term.

The ward also strives to build at least five schools and have at least one ward meet national standards. In urban management, the goal is to promptly handle 100% of violations, reduce annual construction order violations, and detect, address, and rectify 100% of land-related violations.

In his directive speech at the congress, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee praised the Bình Hưng Hòa Ward Party Committee and authorities for quickly stabilizing operations, reorganizing the political system, and ensuring smooth coordination.

The officials and civil servants demonstrated responsibility and efficiency, avoiding disruptions. The ward promptly issued regulations, programs, and plans post-merger.

Given new tasks, the ward, as the closest administrative level to the people, must adhere to central and city directives, innovate management thinking, and adopt a long-term vision.
