From the afternoon of August 25 to August 26, Doai Phuong commune experienced moderate to heavy rain, with rainfall reaching approximately 210mm, causing water levels in the Tich River and Dong Mo Lake to rise.
Localized flooding occurred on several roads in the commune, including Provincial Road 418, inter-village roads, and inter-commune roads. Many sections were submerged over 50cm deep, such as a 70m stretch of the inter-commune road passing through Tay Ninh village and a 90m section through Trung Tam village, along with several points on other inter-village routes.
Prolonged heavy rain flooded around 30 households in the villages of Ngo Bac, Van An, Thong Nhat, Trung Tam, Tay Ninh, Tan Phu, and Kim Dai (one household was severely flooded and had to relocate); 7 households were isolated due to flooded roads; over 100m of fencing at 5 households in the villages of Phuc Loc, Tan Phuc, Thien Loc, and Trai Ho collapsed; a landslide occurred at the Gien Hill area in Tan Phu village, spanning 30m in length.
