Vietnam and the United States Sign a Series of Agricultural Cooperation Agreements Worth $800 Million

At the working session, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment expressed the honor of leading the delegation consisting of representatives of the technical agencies of the Ministry, industry associations, and Vietnamese agricultural enterprises to visit and work in the state of Iowa.

The Minister emphasized that Vietnam is continuously expanding its processing capacity, quality control, and sustainable agricultural development. Therefore, the two sides can complement each other and jointly develop bilateral, stable, and long-term agricultural and aquaculture value chains.

At the round-table discussion, both sides recognized and evaluated the current state of agricultural trade cooperation between Vietnam and the state of Iowa, while sharing information, needs, and potential for business cooperation between the two sides. The discussion paved the way for promoting the export of high-quality agricultural and aquaculture products from Iowa to the Vietnamese market and vice versa.
