A spontaneous message received by Syrian actor Basil Khayat during his visit to the Saudi capital days ago.

Social media users circulated a picture of the message, which was a simple, sweet drawing gifted to him by a 7-year-old girl in the Via Riyadh area.

She drew herself, Orchid, next to “Uncle Basil,” which sparked widespread interaction on social media platforms.

Basil commented, saying: “This is a gift given to me by an amazing little girl in Riyadh. Thank you, Orchid. Nothing is sweeter than this.”

It is mentioned that Riyadh recently hosted a meeting that brought together the Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority with a selection of senior Syrian artists, described as “legends of Syrian art,” in a meeting that lasted three hours, featuring friendly conversations and an exchange of commemorative gifts, in an atmosphere described as exceptional.

He wrote in a post on his official account: “With the dear legends of Syrian art, I met with them in a 3-hour meeting that will result in surprises… I haven’t met some of them for 15 years, and Syria is in our hearts.”
