Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Northern Borders Region, inaugurated today the projects of the University of the Northern Borders in the city of Arar, with a total cost exceeding 390 million riyals. He listened to an explanation of the projects, their implementation stages, and objectives. He also opened the College of Engineering building and viewed a presentation highlighting the key developmental projects carried out by the university to support the educational environment and enhance the infrastructure of the university city.

The projects included the College of Engineering building in Arar, built on an area of 25,500 square meters with a capacity of up to 2,000 students, and the faculty housing project (first phase), which includes 35 villas and 50 residential apartments. Additionally, a project to construct an electrical power transformer station and connect it to the main grid with a capacity of 132 kilovolt-amperes was launched to ensure sustainable power supply for current and future university city facilities, along with a project to complete the connection of the university station to the central station of the Saudi Energy Company to enhance grid reliability and operational efficiency. The Governor of the Northern Borders Region highlighted the support and attention given to the education sector by the wise leadership, emphasizing that these projects contribute to enhancing the educational and academic environment and supporting development in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The President of the University of the Northern Borders expressed his gratitude to the Governor of the Northern Borders Region for sponsoring the project inauguration ceremony, affirming that these projects represent a significant addition to the university’s educational and service system and contribute to improving the quality of educational outcomes and supporting the university’s developmental plans.
