The Culture and Arts Association in Jeddah organized an art exhibition titled “The Neglected,” held at the Abdulhalim Radwi Hall in the association’s headquarters, attended by a number of individuals interested in cultural and artistic affairs.
The exhibition presents an alternative visual experience, focusing on repurposing damaged and discarded industrial materials, transforming them into vibrant artworks that convey environmental and humanitarian messages. It highlights the power of art to revive what is considered worthless by embodying beauty in consumed elements.
The exhibition features creative works made from recycled materials such as plastic, paper, iron, and pipes, displayed through diverse artistic techniques including collage, embroidery, sculpture, and installations. Discarded industrial pieces have been transformed into symbolic and contemplative models and paintings.
The exhibition aims to raise awareness about the importance of recycling, encourage society to protect the environment, promote visual arts culture, and inspire younger generations to develop creative visions inspired by daily life using simple and accessible materials.
Running for 10 days, the exhibition serves as an open invitation to reflect on the value of objects beyond their initial use, emphasizing the role of visual arts in creating a social and cultural impact that enhances sustainability and environmental awareness.
