In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God preserve them – the Moroccan conjoined twins “Saja and Duha” Abdelali Mounir arrived today at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, accompanied by their family, coming from the Kingdom of Morocco.

Upon their arrival, the twins were immediately transferred to King Abdullah Specialist Children’s Hospital at the Ministry of National Guard to study their condition and consider the possibility of performing a separation surgery.

Moroccan conjoined twins “Saja and Duha”

The General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and head of the medical and surgical team of the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, expressed the highest gratitude and appreciation to the wise leadership – may God support them – for this generous humanitarian initiative.

He stated that it embodies the Kingdom’s established approach to helping people and alleviating their suffering wherever they are without discrimination, and reflects its medical excellence in the field of conjoined twins and global leadership in handling the most delicate and complex cases.

Conjoined twin separation surgeries

He pointed out that the continuous successes achieved by the Saudi medical team in conjoined twin separation surgeries – by God’s grace – and through their advanced expertise and high capabilities, have contributed to establishing the Kingdom’s presence as a global center in this precise medical field and a humanitarian refuge that gives hope to families exhausted by suffering and children waiting for a chance at life.

The family of the Moroccan conjoined twins expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom, its government and people, for the warm welcome, reception, hospitality, and the swift response to their daughters’ condition.
