The National Center of Meteorology has issued an alert today for heavy rainfall in Medina, which includes effects such as high-speed winds, reduced visibility, hail, flash floods, and thunderstorms.

The center indicated that the condition will continue until 9:00 PM.

The National Center of Meteorology has revealed details of the expected weather conditions today, Friday, in the Kingdom, warning of thunderstorms and fog in parts of 10 regions.

According to the meteorological report, the forecast continues for moderate to heavy thunderstorms leading to flash floods, accompanied by hail showers and active winds raising dust and sand in parts of several regions.

These include Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Mecca, and Medina, with a chance of fog formation in parts of the highlands of those regions as well as on the coastal parts of the Eastern Region.

Medina

The Medina is the historic old city center found in many North African towns, most famously in Fez, Morocco, and Tunis, Tunisia. Jazan

Jazan is a port city and administrative capital of the Jazan Region in southwestern Saudi Arabia, historically known for its strategic coastal location along the Red Sea. The surrounding region is also home to the Jazan Heritage Village, which showcases the traditional architecture and culture of the area.

Asir

Asir is a mountainous region in southwestern Saudi Arabia known for its lush green landscapes and unique traditional architecture, such as the ornate painted houses in its capital, Abha. Historically, it was an independent kingdom before being incorporated into modern Saudi Arabia in the early 20th century. The area is also culturally significant for its distinct music, dance, and crafts from the ‘Asiri tribe.

Al-Baha

Al-Baha is a scenic mountainous region in southwestern Saudi Arabia, historically known as the “Region of 1001 Villages” for its numerous traditional stone and mud villages. It was a historically significant area inhabited by ancient tribes and served as an important trade and cultural crossroads. Today, it is a popular tourist destination known for its cool climate, dense forests, and well-preserved heritage.

Mecca

Mecca is the holiest city in Islam, located in Saudi Arabia.
