The messaging app “WhatsApp” revealed that it has fixed a security vulnerability in the app’s versions for the “iOS” system and Mac devices, which was being used to covertly hack Apple devices belonging to “specific targeted users.”
WhatsApp, owned by Meta, added in a security notice that it fixed a security vulnerability officially known as “CVE-2025-55177,” which was used alongside another vulnerability found in the “iOS” system and Mac devices. Apple had fixed it last week, and it is known as “CVE-2025-43300.”
