The Ministry of Education confirmed that the additional opportunity for applicants to upgrade their preferences through the “Qabul” platform will end on July 26. Students are urged to check the platform, text messages, and email to confirm the upgrade immediately upon receiving the notification.
The Ministry emphasized that the upgrade is not automatically approved unless confirmed within the specified timeframe. If not confirmed within 24 hours of notification, it will be automatically canceled.
This measure aims to maximize the utilization of vacant seats in an organized and flexible manner.
The platform automatically nominates students for the highest available preference that matches their weighted percentage, provided it is among their previously listed choices and a vacant seat is available.
The Ministry clarified that upgrades are not solely based on preference order but prioritize the highest immediately available option, increasing the chances of instant admission into desired fields.
If no higher preference is available, students will retain their previously accepted choice without affecting their academic status in the next phase.
Students who were not admitted to any of their preferences in the previous phase may receive an additional opportunity in the coming days, depending on their preference order and weighted averages, provided a vacant seat is available.
