The country’s first “smart” electric vehicle charging hub has started operating in Moscow at the intercepting parking lot near the “Volokolamskaya” metro station.
“This is the largest hub with dynamic power balancing between connected vehicles. The software for it was developed by transport complex specialists,” the statement said.
The site is equipped with 18 charging stations with a capacity of up to 240 kW, supporting all major connector types. The complex can service up to 500 electric vehicles per day. A rest area is provided for drivers, and it operates 24/7.
Moscow
Moscow is the capital and largest city of Russia, historically founded in 1147. It grew from a medieval fortress (the Kremlin) into the political and cultural heart of the Russian state, serving as the center of the Tsardom, the Russian Empire, the Soviet Union, and now the Russian Federation. Key landmarks like Red Square and St. Basil’s Cathedral symbolize its long and turbulent history of power, revolution, and resilience.
Volokolamskaya metro station
Volokolamskaya is a station on Moscow’s Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya metro line, opened in 1975. Its design is a standard “column” type from that era, named after the nearby Volokolamskoye Highway, which itself leads to the historic town of Volokolamsk. The station’s interior features simple, functional decor with red granite columns and white marble walls.
