To ensure flight safety, temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft were introduced at Krasnodar Airport on Sunday at 14:23.

Airport services are ready to resume operations once the restrictions are lifted. Airlines will inform their passengers of any changes.

Current information on departure times can be checked with the airline, on the airport’s online board, or by subscribing to flight notifications.

“The restrictions are necessary to ensure flight safety,” a statement noted.

Earlier on Sunday, flight restrictions were also introduced at Gelendzhik airport. The threat of an attack is also in effect in Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik.

Krasnodar Airport

Krasnodar Airport, officially known as Krasnodar International Airport (Pashkovsky), is a major aviation hub in southern Russia, serving the Krasnodar Krai region. It was originally opened in the 1960s and has since undergone significant modernization, including a major terminal expansion completed in 2017 to accommodate growing passenger traffic, particularly to nearby Black Sea resorts. Today, it stands as one of the busiest airports in Russia, connecting the vital agricultural and tourism region to domestic and international destinations.

Gelendzhik airport

Gelendzhik Airport, also known as Gelendzhik Airport (GDZ), is a domestic airport located on the Black Sea coast in Krasnodar Krai, Russia. It was originally built as a military airfield in the 1960s and was later reconstructed and opened for civilian flights in 2010 to serve the popular resort city of Gelendzhik. Today, it primarily handles seasonal tourist traffic to the region.

Novorossiysk
