Calls from unknown individuals are being made to city residents at night.
Scammers are calling individuals affected by the UAV attack, posing as emergency management officials and requesting passport and bank card details. The head of the Tuapse district issued a warning about the fraudsters’ activities.
“Please note that agency employees do not request this information over the phone. They certainly do not call at night. All data from affected individuals is collected during in-person meetings when inspecting premises. This is strictly done during working hours: weekdays from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM,” the district head wrote.
The district head also noted that if any questions arise, it is necessary to call 112.
Following the fall of UAV debris on November 25, a fire broke out on the roof of an apartment building in Tuapse covering 100 square meters. Debris from downed drones also damaged two kindergartens in the Tuapse district.
Efforts are underway to eliminate the consequences of the UAV attack in Tuapse. The burned roof of the building will be restored by the homeowners association. The possibility of additional assistance to accelerate repair work is also being considered. Additionally, material compensation will be provided to those affected.
