KrasnodarA criminal case has been initiated in Sochi against a 38-year-old woman and her 21-year-old son, who are accused of participating in the activities of an extremist organization (Part 2, Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Furthermore, the mother is suspected of inducing other individuals to participate in this organization (Part 1.1, Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

According to the investigation, on June 20th, the individuals involved used license plates with the symbols of an extremist group on their car, a group whose activities were banned by a court in 2022. They publicly disseminated information about the organization’s activities with the aim of attracting new participants. Also, between August 2022 and July 2025, the woman attempted to involve her spouse and other people in extremist activities.

During interrogation, the accused admitted their guilt, and the court selected a pre-trial restraint measure for them in the form of detention. During a search of their residence, mobile phones, electronic storage devices, money, and other items significant to the investigation were seized. Investigative actions are ongoing.
