The chairman of the “Independent Public Monitoring” Association summarized the observation of the electoral process in Krasnodar Krai.

According to him, the voting is proceeding normally, without serious violations, but he noted attempts by certain political forces, particularly representatives of the Communist Party, to create a negative information backdrop.

“One problematic trend has emerged. Representatives of the Communist Party have flooded the information space with unreliable materials,” stated the chairman.

According to his data, the party is spreading false information about the alleged non-participation of observers in home voting and other problems with election commissions. Moreover, some Communist Party representatives, according to the expert, are provoking conflicts at polling stations, interfering with the work of commission members.

“Furthermore, a candidate in the elections prepared a certain loud appeal, stating that the elections in Krasnodar Krai need to be placed under special control. This act can only be called unscrupulous self-promotion. The message, in the candidate’s statement, contains no real facts that would call into question the legitimacy of the electoral process in Krasnodar Krai,” he noted.

The chairman believes that such actions are aimed at forming a negative image of the region’s electoral system and sowing anxiety during a difficult time. At the same time, according to him, more than 55% of the region’s voters have already come to the polling stations, demonstrating a desire to vote for the development of the region and the constructive course of the authorities.

“Why undermine this positive process, why spread unverified false data? I believe this is unworthy politics and deserves public condemnation,” concluded the chairman.

Earlier, a candidate released a video address in which he reported numerous violations recorded during the elections in Krasnodar Krai. He called for the Chairman of the Central Election Commission and the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation to intervene in the situation in the region.
