Krasnodar Scammers have developed a new tactic to deceive children. Criminals call them, offering to receive virtual prizes or in-game bonuses, but to do this, they require the phone’s screen sharing to be turned on.

The scheme works as follows: scammers contact a child via video call and inform them that they have won or can receive a valuable bonus. However, to “receive” the prize, it is necessary to show their game profile by enabling screen sharing.

At the moment the child is sharing their device’s screen, an SMS message with a code arrives on their phone. This gives the criminals access to the messenger profile and all of the victim’s contacts.
