Thank you for always reading Yokohama Keizai Shimbun.

Yokohama Keizai Shimbun was launched in April 2004 as a media outlet delivering “Local & Happy News.” For over 20 years, we have been editing and delivering daily news about Yokohama, focusing on business, culture, creative industries, and more in the central waterfront area.

We receive heartwarming feedback, such as “We got inquiries after the article was published” and “Our store traffic increased.” The tens of thousands of articles we have built up with the local community are treasures to us as well.

However, compared to the number of articles, advertising revenue is not substantial. Furthermore, as our operating body is an NPO (Yokohama Community Design Lab), we must be honest that financial sustainability is a challenge. We want to continue delivering local information in a better way and keep it going into the future…

Become an Individual Supporter = Support Local Media for the Price of a Monthly Coffee

We will strive to use the received fees to deliver wonderful and positive news about Yokohama. Our goal is one news story per weekday. While we don’t have an extensive list of member perks, we have a “Supporter Facebook Group” and a “LINE Open Chat” where you can always contact the editorial team.
